This winter ERA staff rolled up their sleeves and got some hands-on experience with masonry. Under the direction of Heritage Restoration Inc., we learned how to cut out existing masonry joints, repoint with new mortar and lay bricks.
We look forward to more opportunities to get our hands dirty and gain a greater appreciation for all the hard work that goes on at our construction
sites.
ERA is pleased to announce that Phase 1 of the exterior restoration work at Cambridge City Hall has been completed. We had the pleasure of restoring the tower and the slate roof. The highlights of the restoration work were the installation of the missing original concealed gutter on the main roof, the reintroduction of the two toned slate shingles on the upper tower roof and the refreshing of the four clock faces.

The Canadian Urban Institute presents monthly roundtable breakfast seminars. On Thursday November 8th, Michael McClelland and Graeme Stewart will be discussing “The Tower Renewal Project: New Ideas for Old Buildings”.
