Sara Jazaeri

Sara Jazaeri holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Azad Islamic University in Iran. Before landing in Toronto, she worked as an architect in a variety of urban design and architectural firms in Tehran. Her passion for traditional Iranian and ancient Middle Eastern architecture led her to cooperate with Iran Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization where she contributed to a number of conservation and re-use projects. Brick structures of Medieval Iranian architecture have been the focal aspect of her works. She has designed and planned renovation and re-functioning of a number of Caravansaries on the Iranian part of the Silk Road as well as a few Hammams (public baths) in major historical cities in Iran.

Working with E.R.A has given Sara the opportunity to expand and apply her knowledge of preservation in postmodern city environments. Sara is a constant investigator of the world architectural legacy, and always has her camera on her side to record and re-define the past.
