Trinity St. Paul’s United Church

Summary
Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church was formed over 120 years ago, following the merging of St. Paul’s Avenue Road United Church and Trinity United Church. Completed in 1889, the building was designed by Toronto architectural firm Langley & Burke, and is located in the Annex neighbourhood of Toronto.
The Church is a Centre for Faith, Justice and the Arts, evidenced through its space sharing, varied programming and collaborations. It is home to a number of congregations as well as community uses. The building is also home to the renowned baroque orchestra and chamber choir, Tafelmusik.
ERA was retained by the Church to provide heritage consulting for ongoing restoration at the building and to develop a long term restoration and programming approach. In conjunction with this consulting, ERA is working with Tafelmusik on acoustically enhancing the building’s sanctuary.
